I got a new rug for the kitchen. I think the black and white looks nice with our floor and stainless steel appliances, but it's a little awkward because you can't actually step on it. Seems impractical, right? I should've read the fine print. Might have to return it.

Yes, that is correct. Although it seems to work better on cheese and socks than dropped veggies.

I’m thinking your rug has special drying instructions too. Your rug really does look nice on your wood floor and such a nice pop of contrast.

Hmmm... maybe the rug could be repositioned to another part of the floor? It's a really nice rug, even if you arent supposed to step on it. Would be a shame to send it back. I used a similar rug as a heated blanket today which was quite pleasant, so there are other uses even if it cant be stepped on.

Good idea! I'm currently using it as a foot warmer. So far, so good.

Update: It seems to have a toe-cleaning function which is quite nice. Only one setting, but very gentle. I think I'll keep it.
