k9III, in my opinion, is overkill, especially for a poodle. If you groom a lot of big huge hairy dogs (newfs, st bernards, etc.) then it wouldn't be bad.
SO I have one more question, are Circuiteer & K9 dryers actually the same? The reason I ask is that I'm considering purchasing a reconditioned dryer from dr-dryer.com & it looks like they are calling them the same.
Looks like it is made by the same company. You would have to compare specs to find out if they are exactly the same for whichever model you are wanting to buy.
Check out your wiring before buyer either the K9II or the III. I know the K9III is 17 amps, not sure about the K9II, but seem to remember an in-home groomer complaining about blowing fuses with it. 14 amp dryers are great and won't bother most homes' wiring. So, unless you have 20 amp service in your house, dial it down.
I still have my 20 year old Oster stand dryer, but rarely use it. And your mention of blowing fuses reminded me that the Oster almost has to have the circuit all to itself. I have a CC that I use now and it does not pull power like the Oster. Thank goodness!
