I don't have an opinion on the ears other than to say they do look really long and droppy. Kind of gives a basset type effect but it could be the picture.

There is nothing wrong with looking on puppy find, some decent breeders are on that site, as well as a couple of the other. A lot of really serious BYB are on therre too sooo Just have to be careful obviously. I look on there all the time just to get my poodle puppy photo fix lol. I always like to see what is out there. I found a couple of breeders I was interested in for one reason or another on that site.
I think they are too long, they should be shorter IMO
I agree, his ears do look reallyyyy long!

I found Atticus's breeder on puppyfind. It took me a long time to find a good breeder and didnt really expect to find one on there. I'm very happy with him and she has some beautiful, friendly dogs and takes amazing care of them. I got him from windairpoodles.

I dont think it hurts to screen through everything, its a learning experience for me. I looks at websites at pictures all the time. His ears are pretty long, he's a cute though.
That poodle's ears make him look like he belongs in the House of Lords.

From the Poodle Standard:

Ears-- hanging close to the head, set at or slightly below eye level. The ear leather is long, wide and thickly feathered; however, the ear fringe should not be of excessive length.

I would say that this dog actually has very good ear leathers. It is just that breeders don't pay much attention to this part of the standard because they can grow the ear hair long to hide a short leather (judges rarely check ear length). This dog looks funny to us because most people are not used to seeing correct ear leathers.
Oh my soul...these ears are incredible!! My Mom and I used to watch the Basett Hounds walk past us at the shows and look at each other, sigh and say "I wish!!" As long as the ears are placed correctly, they cannot be too long. These are amazing!

Ya your right, I'm sure there are a lot of great breeders that use puppyfind for advertising... bad assumption on my side. Though there have been the few breeders on there when I click on the button to see what other listings they have I'm shocked at the amount of puppies to be sold! :scared:

Oh ok, so that's what I was wondering to, if they were placed right, like not too low on the head... if you can view the other shots of him his ears look very sweet on him, but that front shot makes them look even more noticeable.
That site wouldn't open for me so I didn't get to see these long ears, but can comment.
There are some nice European dogs that have produced long ears... it does look a bit funny at first but it's quite nice.
The Russian we brought over is from such a line.
I was also told that a long ear leather is prefered. I would be more concerned with the ear set not being correct. I wasnt able to view the pic either (says link is broken).
I do not think that ears can be too long Ever !
I agree with the ear set being more important.
