Our eight-month-old Standard, at 54 lbs, suffers us through the stinkiest night flatulence after he eats most canned dog foods. We avoid grains, especially corn and questionable additives. I cook boneless, skinless chicken breast, shred it and freeze it. He, Sammy, is doing very well on Gentle Giants kibble, Gentle Giants canned food and a bit of chicken to spice things up. The gas problem is gone except after he gulps down cat poop.

It’s great that you found a food that doesn’t aggravate his digestive system.

If you look at the ingredient list and compare it to the other ones that gave Sammy gas then you might learn what to avoid. It might be an ingredient or the percentage fat. Knowing what to avoid will help you if this company changes their recipe or you want to buy another food.
