I am so excited. After months of talking about it and looking at them and dreaming of getting some. I finally ordered a set of Oster A5 and then waited it seemed forever. They came on the weekend when the post office was closed. I just about killed me to wait till Monday. But I finally got them. My husband wouldn't let me try them yesterday as my neck has been out of place on the weekend. Which ment I had to go to the chiropractor yesterday to get it fixed. So he wanted me to give it a day to rest.

I was all set to try them out in the morning but of course all three of my kids got sick and were off school. So finally I tried them out tonight when everyone was in bed. I am so pleased. It was to much fun to see the pads of Betty Jo and Jenny's feet come out from hiding under all that fur. No snowballs tomorrow between the toes!! I would have loved to keep going and shave down a whole foot. I was so tempted but I promised Arreau I wouldn't. We are getting together for a grooming lesson and a full groom for the girls hopefully on the weekend. I am so lucky that she has agreed to teach me how to do it properly. It will take out so much stress in the learning process. Thanks again for being such a wonderful mentor. I am so lucky to have her as a partner. Not to mention the instructions should cut down on the funny haircuts they would otherwise get as I go through the learning curve.

It will be great to learn how to do a face feet and tails to start so I can keep them looking nice. Not to mention how great it will be to be able to not have them track in tons of snow every time they go out.

I was also amazed at how well Betty Jo and Jenny behaved. You've got to like it when they co-operate with you. They do seem to be ticklish though.

Woo-hoo!! May this be the start of a long, happy relationship with your clippers. I am looking forward to our lesson and watching our pretty girls emerge from under all of their coat. Good on you for going for it. Mark this day on your calendar as one to remember. You are now no longer a grooming virgin, and there is no looking back!! You can tell me all about it tomorrow.

Yay!! We play for the same team!! I love them so much, I have never used anything else and to date have never seen a need to try anything new. I may buy one set in ther future just to see what the hoopty-doo is about. But I have so many blades for Oster A2's and A5's, it almost seems silly to try another brand and have to start all over again.

YAAAAAAY TRILLIUM!!!! SOOOOO excited for you!!! I'm no expert, but I love learning how to keep Lucy looking her best and it just keeps getting easier and easier the more I do it!!

I don't know if Arreau spilled the beans yet or not, but my hubby and I are making preliminary plans to come visit her sometime this summer with Lucy! I was thinking I should have Lucy groomed just before we come to visit, but maybe it would be more fun to let her be a little grown out so we can have a grooming party when we get there!!!

Have fun with your new equipment... take your time... be relaxed... ENJOY!!! :)

BEAN SPILLER!!!! So what do you think??? Do you want to help me groom Lucy when we come?? I'll make sure she's done once or twice (probably by me) before we make the trip, but then you could give me some pointers too (I'm so jealous of Trillium, you know!!) :)

I don`t know yet what would be best. Let me think on it a bit. I am a bit nervous about scissoring her jacket because I shake like a leaf. I have a very unorthodox scissoring style. I have to hold my scissoring hand with my other hand to control the shakes.

I'm not worried! You could even guide me and show me what to do and *I* can hold the scissors... hair grows back! However, if there are lots of sight-seeing places we need to go, we may not have a lot of time for "work"! :) No matter what, Lucy will be so glad to see you again!!

It sounds like so much fun. I really hope to get to meet you to if you come and visit. The poodle grooming party sounds like a great idea. Maybe you can hold seminars on how to groom Arreau. Yes I know I'm lucky there are some wonderful grooming videos etc out there but it sure sounds like a better idea to have a hands on teacher to me.

I'd better not drive 1,300 miles and not get to meet you!!!!!! :scared: I'll come find you if I have to!! I'm sure Arreau will give me directions!! I know it's still a few months away, but I'm already getting so excited!! We don't go on vacation very often and never with a dog, so this will be a big deal!

I'm probably going to bring a bunch of grooming stuff so you and/or Arreau can help me decide what the best items are for specific jobs... Hopefully Arreau's significant other can keep my hubby busy while we play beauty shop with poodles!!! :pound:

Can't wait to meet you and all my other Canadian friends!!

I want you guys to see Owen Sound and Georgian Bay on Lake Huron, and Inglis Falls which is just breath taking. We could do that then shoot over to Trillium's place and you can meet her crew and Betty-Jo and Jenny. I have already begun an itinerary for your visit!! You will meet for sure, one way or another.

See, you guys are still all excited about grooming, and I am like...woo-hoo...Holly and Thinker need to be groomed (oh joy, I can hardly stand it!! A little sarcasm). But I know where you are coming from, so we will do something, even if we do it at Trillium's place.

I am thinking of rest days where people come here, and travelling days where go touring or see other folks...I hope you guys enjoy yourselves and like it so much you want to come back in a couple of years!!

To quote the Pointer Sisters "I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it"!!!

Hey I'm not hard to find. We live about 5-10 min drive from the Georgian Bay. But if you've got too much on the go I'll just load up the van and head over Cherie's way. It will be a lot of fun to meet you. Not to mention it will be hilarious to be able to get all the dogs together. It will be really interesting to see how much Betty Jo, Jenny and Lucy resemble each other. Not to mention a lot of fun to let them all have a good play together.

June is such a lovely month. Lets hope for good weather and that it all works out. Its lots of fun to plan and dream in the mean time anyway.

I am so afraid you are going to go home and feel it was a big waste of time. We live a very quiet lifestyle. We don't drink, we don't gamble (and there are tons of Casinos around) and are pretty boring. But we can show you around our area and Toronto, and have you meet at least three of your Facebook freinds. I know that I CANNOT wait to give to a real life, in person hug. And I have wanted for you and Trillium to become friends too, so this is the perfect opportunity for you guys to meet. David and Bruce are going to get along just great (guys always do!!) and Trillium mentioned on the phone a few minutes ago that her hubby could take the gentllemen and kids for a boat ride while we ladies have a grooming crash course. I just want it to be memorabele for you!!

Remember what I told you while you were waiting for Lucy? "This time will go by so quickly". And it did. And so will this time. I am already dreading you leaving!!

What the heck kind of wild life do you think we live here??!!?? :pound:  We're a very laid back family, too; so NOOOO worries! My idea of a perfect vacation is a nice blend of seeing the sights and then taking time to relax and unwind (that's what vacations are for, anyway, right??!!)

We don't drink (heavily) nor do we gamble (successfully) and we're probably the most boring people I know - but we like it that way!

This will be AWESOME!! And I can't wait!! :)
