Jill, Rhonda’s swimming instructor,

texted me some pics from a few months ago. I thought this was kind of cute.

At first I thought you were saying this is a photo of Jill, Rhonda’s swimming instructor, and I can’t stop laughing. :ROFLMAO:

So funny. So cute. What a great photo.

That’s to protect her ears from water getting in them. It’s kind of a swimming cap.

Every time someone replies to this thread I just have to open it and look at that amazing photo again. It’s just so good.

Does Rhonda enjoy swimming?

Rhonda loves to swim. Here are a couple more pics from that day a few months ago.

Seeing these pictures makes me so sad that Buck doesn’t go near our pool. Other than race around barking, when we are swimming: “Get out, get out”. I think he would be better with a lake, fresh water rather than chemically treated water.

My labradors love the rivers the beach the lakes they would put their whole body all the way in, all that would be sticking out of the water is a tail, while diving down for rocks and sticks, but they didn’t care for swimming pool, I always thought it has to due with the endless look of a pool, the endless depth … no rocks, or shading … it was because they couldn’t wade in, as you see they flew through the air into the water…

The chemicals in a regular swimming pool might irritate pups. The pool where Rhonda swims is salt water with no irritating chemicals. As a kid we had a "family" dog that wouldn't get near the pool water. It just scared her to death. Rhonda's pretty fearless. Even still the first few times she had to be coaxed into the water. Now, she runs from the car and does a flying leap into the water. :)

We have upcoming reservations at a dog friendly pension with a pool for dogs. Happy has never had the oportunity to swim. I really hope she'll try. I couldn't keep my JRT Ginger out of the water.
