New here, got my first toy poodle July 2006. Never thought I would own a foo foo poodle, lol. I've always had dobermans. Now I know what I have been missing, can't see myself without a poodle. Her name is Snickerdoodle (on paper), but I call her Snickers. She was a dark chocolate when I got her and now almost 3 years old, she has lightened up. My mother-in-law asked one time, did you dye her hair, lol. I came across the site accidently looking for some answers in grooming. Can't wait to absorb poodle info.

How pretty! I love poodles, it's like a surprise..you never know exactly what color you will get when they mature! Each one is so individual. Baxter was totally apricot when we got him, now he is mostly cream and has apricot on his ears, down his back and some on his tail. He's only 8 months old so I am sure he will lighten up even more.

Welcome. At first glance I was going to say she is a Cafe Au Lait. They are born brown and lighten as they mature but I think she may be a silver beige instead of Cafe. Silver beige is also born brown. For sure she is one of the two and Im leaning more towards the silver beige from the look of the pics.

Very cute little Poodle though. Im a previous bully owner (pitbulls/amstaffs) but now in love with Standard Poodles. I still have one bully though. Anyhow, glad to meet you.

Thanks for all the welcomes. Yep, all three pictures is of one poodle, her coat changed colors the older she gets and I can't tell if she is considered a cafe au lait or a silver beige. She will be 3 years old in April.

We have a dog who boards with us called Snickers. The first time he rang I thought he said Nickers but I didn't want to repeat it in case I heard wrong LOL, so I waited till she came in and he wrote it down as Snickers, phew that could have been embarrassing LOL.

I had heard of silver poodles but had never seen one till about 3 weeks ago. He was beautiful. His coat was well taken care of anyway but I mean the color was a rich warm silver and fur was very thick even though cut short. His face was pure perfection.
