What’s the best way to cover white hairs on my once inky black 2 1/2 year old standard? Not a show dog. Is there a shampoo that contains a safe, lasting darkening agent?
Thank you!

I use Chris Christensen Black on Black shampoo, I can't say it is great at covering. I actually don't reaally care about those white hairs. It is a reflection of Lily's long and happy life.

Asta has white hairs that show up occasionally. I wonder whether he is a "bad Black" Also 2 tiny white spots that some say make him an abstract. Either way, he is my loving boy.

I don't think there is any shampoo that provides a "lasting" darkening agent. There is hair dye. Some poodle owners enjoy grooming their dogs (and hopefully have dogs that enjoy it too) and may go the extra mile and dye either for bright colors or to cover grey hair. There are searchable posts on PF that talk more about how to dye hair. I have never done it.
