I'm wondering how fast most dogs' hair (or fur? What do you call it with a poodle?) grows?

Bella's got the puppy cut (or is it the lamb cut? or is it the kennel clip? LOL, I don't know...they're so close to the untrained eye) and her snout is looking all scruffy already! Yesterday was 4 weeks. I think the range I've seen for standards is 4-6 weeks, so I was curious what everyone else seems to notice with their dogs. I'm tempted to take her in tomorrow, but her legs, back, tail and other longer areas would be fine for at least another week if not 2 or 3. Her snouts' getting wavy. It is cute, though. What bothers me most is I have a hard time seeing her eyes under the hair on top!

Or do you just do it yourself so you touch-up the shorter areas in-between?

I do plan to learn eventually, but now is just not the time. Plus I'd like at least one of us to know what we're doing so I figured I'll wait until she's older.

Thanks.

So basically I should take her more often (or learn to do it myself) for face/feet/tail.

I may ask them to leave her legs and back long tomorrow. I'm not sure about the head, though. It's all puppy fur still, so last time I had them trim the top. I like to be able to see her eyes under all of that!

When it's the adult fur will it naturally stick up a bit more instead of flopping down?

What I did when Saleen's hair wasn't quite long enough to was to put two bands in the topknot, one over each eye. Got the idea from seeing a picture somebody on here posted a long time ago.... think it was purple poodle. Anyway I refered to them as her "horns". I'm ashamed to say that I cut her topknot reccently so no more horns and now I hate it so we'll be growing it back out to tie up again. I'm such a baby, after I cut it and got a good look at the trimmed topknot I cried ROFL.

So cute!!
