Hi,
I am new here and was wondering if anyone else has problems with their poodles constantly chewing/biting on each other. My 2 standards Savanna is 2 yrs. old and Vegas will be 1 soon get along no growling or serious biting but when they play they are mouthy to the point of pulling each others ears and fur out. They will also pin each other down by the neck. I have heard this may be a "dominance" thing. Right now both of them should have much longer ears but they chew them off. It's crazy and I have tried everything. They get plenty of exercise, I walk them together which is hard, a mile a day. They will lay down for a while and then they are back at it again. I can take the constant playing that is fine, but not biting each other ears. I watch Ceasar Milan getting 2 dogs together in Harmony Ha! It looks so easy but unless I am right there with them every minute saying "leave it" as soon as I walk away they are at it again.
Right now I keep Vegas gated in the kitchen when I cannot be right there with them. I was hoping this was just a puppy thing with him since he does seem to be the instigator. I will also be getting him neutered soon so maybe that will help.
Any ideas?????
