Hello all!

I live in Georgia and am trying to find contact info for the breeder of my AKC girl- I bought her from someone who had bought her from the breeder. The woman I bought her from was planning on breeding her but decided not to because of her size. (I bought her as a red toy- she is DEFINITELY a miniature - nearly 14 inches tall) I love her more than words can express and desperately want to reach out to her breeder to see pictures of her parents and update her about how happy and amazing she is now! However- the woman I got her from will not answer any of my attempts to reach her and messages asking her for the breeder info. All I have is the breeders name, Gina Johnson. I have searched everything I can think of online and have found nothing. I am VERY disappointed in the lady I got her from for lying (I believe she knew she was a miniature) about her size and now refusing to give me the info to call the breeder (I am guessing she wasn't supposed to sell the dog but rather return her to breeder but I do not know for sure).

I absolutely ADORE my baby girl and would not change a single thing about her- just want to be able to contact her breeder and see what her parents/siblings look like. Any help is appreciated so so so much!

Can you contact AKC? UKC? If the dog is registered Gina Johnson should be in their records.

Does your dog have a microchip? That may be a lead.

Most reputable breeders do not sell their pups for breeding purposes, unless of course a prior agreement
had been made. I am guessing here but perhaps she purchased her from someone who was just breeding dogs for profit so she sold her without a spay contract and she quite likely is a toy but has grown oversized. Also the breeders name should be on the AKC paperwork and you could track her down that way too. I of course am just guessing here as I do even know why the dog was rehomed in the first place. Also most reputable breeders want their puppies returned to them first so that they know their puppies are being placed in suitable homes. I bet your pup is just a lovely lil girl and I would just love on her. There are many Facebook groups you could join to share photos and chats and of course we are here too for the same.
It might be worth checking with some of the Poodle breed clubs in the mid-atlantic region. You should be able to get a list of them from the AKC web site.
I found this listing Gina Johnson in Salem Virginia who has no puppies for sale at this time. I googled her name and Salem Virginia and found phone number and contact info. I won’t link or post this here in case it’s the wrong person but at least there’s some me with that name to contact.

if this was a poodle breeder showing in AKC or UKC conformation their name would have come up in referen to trials. Nothing came up so either the name is wrong or this person doesn’t show dogs in dog sports.
Thank you all for the leads! I am still searching and hoping to find a meaningful lead. I have tried a couple of the things mentioned but will try the ones I have not already!
As I said in my original post- I don’t know anything about Gina Johnson or her breeding program but am absolutely in love with my little girl and her size! I thought I wanted a toy but God knew I needed a mini. I have started looking into her pedigree (which is amazing, as she does have some prominent poodles in her bloodline!) mostly because I am interested in getting a sibling/half sibling of my girl in the future. I may not know much about Gina Johnson but I know that the pup I got is a very high quality poodle with the best temperament and I would be thrilled to get another like her. Thank you all so much and please keep sending suggestions if you have them!!!

You have her pedigree? That should make it much easier to find the kennel where she was bred or at least some related dogs. The kennel name should be in the name. For example, Siba, the Poodle which won Westminster, was registered as "Stone Run Afternoon Tea." She came from Stone Run Kennel in Pennsylvania, and they even have a Facebook page. ;)
