Hello everyone:)

My name is Margret, I'm Icelandic (and not the only Icelandic person here I see) but I live in Belgium.

I own and breed Italian Greyhounds under the prefix Caeles but I also own a white toy poodle, and a chinese crested.

My poodle comes from kennel Eugenios in Norway, I used to work there as a kennel help and he's from the first litter I delivered and I could not see him go and had to have him no matter what.

Casper is 4 years old now, he's a late bloomer and I just started showing him for real in november last year. He was already a CAC winner in Norway but I decided to just let him be and let him grow and mature and in November last year he debuted at the Amsterdam Winner show where he won best male under a poodle specialist!
Since then he's won CACs (same as points in the US) in Germany & Luxembourg on top of his Dutch and Norwegian "points" so I'm hoping for a championship later this year.

Casper has mostly a scandinavian pedigree, except his maternal sireline comes from the famous Smash kennels.

He is my most spoiled dog, my little white shadow, I love this breed and will never be without one:)

What a handsome baby!! Gorgeous.

Hello and welcome to the forum. How nice you have another Icelandic member here. I have just bought a black Standard puppy from Winnow, and am so interested in the culture and lifestyle of your homeland. We have spoken via private message here, by email and by phone, and I am constantly asking poor Winnow questions about life there. Hoping to go an visit within a couple of years, and she is planning to come to Canada to visit us and her boy.

So you're the mystery person from Canada:) I knew one of her pups were going to Canada, it's very exciting:)
You should definetly visit Iceland, it's a beautiful country and there's plenty to see:)
I usually go home for christmas, but I'd like to take my boyfriend with me there during the summer and drive around the country and show him the sights.. I haven't even done the "circle" yet.. some tourists have seen way more of my country than I have!

That's me!!! I didn't know it was a mystery...lol!!

Iceland is sure not what I expected. The scenery is amazing. I cannot get over the number of waterfalls there. Yes, Disa has told me if/when I go, she will take me to a place where I will feel an earthquake. And of course, after all of the excitement, I want to see the volcano! It is truly beautiful there.

We have talked Poos, and I have been educated on industry, culture, religion, how the homes are heated (awesome!)...Poor Disa. She had no idea when we began talking how inquisitive I am. Sometimes while we are talking, I have the atlas in front of me. So, hopefully one day I can see it for myself. I am sure it would be something I would never forget. I have never known anyone from Iceland before, and now I know two people from there. Looking forward to getting to know both of you better.

I know what you mean about being from there and not seeing things. I grew up in Toronto, and now live in the country, two hours north-west of TO. It always shocks me how many people from here have never been to the top of the CN Tower, or gone to the Toronto Zoo, or gone and watched the BlueJays play baseball in their gorgeous covered stadium. I guess we take for granted that they will be there whenever the urge strikes to go and see things.
