Typically after our morning walk, we are both content to eat some breakfast and settle down to work (me at my laptop, him for a nap). This morning was a different story, I’m not sure if it’s the changing weather, fall is in the air and it’s brisk or someone snuck into the house and gave him a doggy energy drink but our guy was full of it this morning.

Would not settle, so we went to the yard.

At first he was happy with his kibble filled puzzle ball.

But then he realized I was sitting not doing anything useful, so came to investigate, “what good is a cup of coffee anyway and why are you taking pictures instead of playing”.

So we played. Switching between two toys and finally deciding that he could do both, blue one in his mouth and his bird with his feet.

And now he’s doing his best impression of an outdoor rug, all that excitement is exhausting.

It's so funny to watch them struggle with the concept of two toys and only one mouth. Galen once spent several minutes picking up and setting down two tennis balls in alternation. He hasn't yet tried the football approach to toy wrangling.
