In my collage speach class we start the day every day with news from pbs or bbc. Todays was the Dog Flu. apparently in Colorado the starts of what could be a pandemic. 26 dogs are already infected. This strain of dog flu is communicable from horses to dogs, and while humans and other animals cant catch it we can give the virus to our dogs.
Unlike the human flu the dog flu is not seasonal.
What do you guys think of this? will you guys still be going to dog parks and large obedience groups? Should we be very concerned about this at all or do you think, like swine flu that people are over reacting.
[For those of you that do not know, swine flu is twice as communicable than the normal flu, but kills less people on average. Not that it shouldnt be taken seriously, but it should be treated like any other flu not like it was the end of the world.]
