Meek has one eye that started getting additional discharge this week

I have been cleaning his eyes gently with eye wipes to remove it. I use different wipes for each eye

He is scratching a lot

Today i removed some with my finger. Its a medium grey color.

The other eye has mild discharge too

Grey is an odd color. What does it mean?

Vet is closed today. Ill call tomorow

If he is scratching it could be related to allergies, but definitely check with your vet (never know if it could be an infection or other eye problem). My dog Miracle gets goopy discharge from her eyes at times but she's not the first dog I have had this issue with. I just keep her eye area and face clean the best I can. She will rub her eyes and smear everything into her fur. Also a reason to keep a clean face.

I agree with Dogs4Life, it sounds like it could be allergies. Is Meek licking his paws too? There may be other behavior related to allergies.

What are the eye wipes? I just use a clean soft damp towel - that way I'm not using any chemicals that can be irritating if I need to wipe my dog's face/eye area.
