Hi everyone,

I got valuable information from this site in my search for a poodle puppy and think the information did help. However, I ended up with my little boy from a reference from a co-worker. I do think my little guy is physically sound, met both parents and they were both well adjusted, pleasant dogs. The breeder has only the 2 parent dogs, that are family pets and only breeds once a year. It's really hard to find toy poodles anywhere near me and I felt SO lucky to get him. I am so very lucky to have Sammy and have fallen in love with him, even though it's a bit more difficult having a puppy than I thought it would be. Sammy is wonderful and learning new things at an amazing rate. My problems have to do with our older dog. i guess I should post that in general. Anyways, I'm thrilled to be a poodle parent!

Congratulations on your pup. We all love pics so you know you have to get some up here. Puppies can be wildly annoying. Lily and I mutually had a serious love/hate thing going until she was about 15 months old. Read and reread all our good training threads and you will do fine. Feel free to vent about it all when you are feeling like you are losing the puppy war.

PS you should post in the other forums like poodle talk or poodle pictures since more people routinely check those areas than intro threads.

HI and welcome to you and Sammy. I hope you post photos.

I think it's hard on other pets when you bring an active new puppy who needs to learn social skills. Puppies are a lot of work.

Thank you both for the welcome! As soon as my son can help, I will post pic's of my lovely little boy ( technically challenged here). I've had several dogs before, chosen by or for the kids and they were good dogs. My Sammy is my dog, chosen for me and I'm so amazed at how smart he is! He literally learns new things in 5 minutes. I am amazed a dog can be so smart.
