I have tried on several occasions to teach Beau to bring back something that I have trown for him, to no avail. Well today I thought TREATS. That did the trick. He learned that trick real quick. He would lay it down at my feet.

But let me tell you the whole story. My 2 1/2 year old grandson Caleb was playing "fetch" as well. He kept trying the the toy before Beau. I was kinda irritated at first but then I couldn't help but laugh. Beau learned the trick anyway. Now I hope Beau doesn't get to fat from the treats. I think I will start halving them.

We use Moose's regular food for treats... works fine, they are tiny, and he doesn't get fat and cost less too !

Well Beau is giving me the ball or whatever I throw back. He loves the game now. I use the clicker/treat. I am using his puppy chow because the treats are just too much. I will still give the treats, but for special occasions--like combing him and brushing him. Debby
