I was really looking forward to showing in the future and I'd
still like too.I am completetly happy with Scooter if I can't
show him, but I need to know some experienced show ring
peoples opinion on his flaws. Like I said though, I understand
IF I CAN'T SHOW him, that's completely fine.:)
For Example:

Not-so-serious Flaws:
*Weird Color (hopefully it will fade soon)
*Coat and top knot not long enough (Can be grown out)
*Flat feet (can be fixed ya'll told me, working on that now)

Serious Flaws:
*Small mini (short also)
*Very short docked tail (don't know how the judges would feel about that...)

I've noticed though by seeing and recognizing his flaws,
I realize or have a good idea on how the whole showing thing
works. :)

I have to brag though at how well he stacks up and holds the position. :p

Well here is my opinion on him

Head: He looks a little cheeky, going by the pictures you posted I would guess he is flat over the top skull.

Neck: Set a little low might be ewed.

Frount: Chest looks shallow, could use a straighter shoulder but could be the stack.

He is very long in body/short in leg. He should be nice and square.

Hindquarter: nice over all but the tail set is low could use a little more angulation.

~ Feet are flat and splayed.

~ Coat is loose but it could be due to his age.

All in all I would suggest you have him fixed and call him a pet. ;)

It would be nice to have some better pictures. :)

Wow, thank you so much for being HONEST, I really appreciate that!:)
I think some better pictures hand stacked, etc. would really help
you guys to judge him better, because those pictures were better
than the others I posted, but still not too good to judge from.

Also concerning the hindquarter area, the tail was docked short that
might be why you can't see it in the pictures.

if I get some really good stacked pictures of him, would you be willing
to give me critique?:)

Better stacking pictures when you ask the question should help cause we are going on memory. Dont worry about his feet, that you can get away with and you can work on, tail docked too short is no fuss cause there isnt a set measurement on how long or short, but agree with the rest of what PP said. He isnt a good specimen of the breed, but not the worst Ive seen by far. He really looks more toy than mini, so Im sure there is lots of toy there regardless what the pedigree says.

All in all, he is a lovely pet for you, looks a very sweet dog. Oh and the colour is not a problem, I think you concentrate too much on this. His colour will dilute as he matures. :yo: :dancing:

Thank you, Sivaro! You are such a great poodle mentor, lol!
I will get some better pictures of him stacked and we will
go from there. :)

I agree, I don't think he is the best specimen to represent the breed
either. I have a mind set to go next year to the AKC dog show they
are holding in Jan. or Feb. to watch and ask questions to the owners,
handlers, groomers, etc. :)

Oh and he is very sweet, a big ole' mama's boy, lol!

Good for you mm. The more poodles you see in the show world, the more knowledge you will get of what type you are looking for. I guess I was lucky cause I grew up with a breeder/exhibitor. So I can clearly see the type of what Im looking for. :alberteinstein:

This is the type Im looking for :llama:
