I live in a state that is 1.25 times the size of the UK but has only 2 million people (most of whom live in just 4 "cities" - Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Farmington, and Los Cruces).
We once took a week long holiday and drove around the perimeter of Scotland (excluding the islands, of course). It was a beautiful trip. One think I really loved about Scotland was that the mountains are rugged and rocky - a bit like the ones here.
I am so looking forward to our trip that begins on the 31st. We board our ship in Greenwich on the 1st. After visiting southern England, Ireland, Wales we will go to Scotland. We will be in Ullapool on August 9th, Kirkwall on the 10th, Edinburgh on the 11th, Invergordon on the 12th, and Lerwick on the 13th. That is a rather nice visit to Scotland, I think.
