Finn and Eden enjoying the morning air at Prestwick beach. They love the beach, any beach will do but this one at 11 am had a Doodle group walk...about 20 Doodles descended on the beach but it was all very friendly...though Eden wanted a carry as some of the Doodles were huge.

It is a lovely country to live in but you never know what kind of weather you're going to get...we went from the east coast as rain was forecast and had lovely sunshine on the west coast...beauty of living in a small country that was only just over an hours drive and worth it to see the boys enjoy themselves.?

I live in a state that is 1.25 times the size of the UK but has only 2 million people (most of whom live in just 4 "cities" - Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Farmington, and Los Cruces).

We once took a week long holiday and drove around the perimeter of Scotland (excluding the islands, of course). It was a beautiful trip. One think I really loved about Scotland was that the mountains are rugged and rocky - a bit like the ones here.

I am so looking forward to our trip that begins on the 31st. We board our ship in Greenwich on the 1st. After visiting southern England, Ireland, Wales we will go to Scotland. We will be in Ullapool on August 9th, Kirkwall on the 10th, Edinburgh on the 11th, Invergordon on the 12th, and Lerwick on the 13th. That is a rather nice visit to Scotland, I think.

Sounds like a wonderful trip you have planned...you'll be in Edinburgh for the fringe festival so lot's of entertainment on the streets and shows to go to, also very busy.
I've not done much travelling in America, but understand the vastness of the country as until March 2018 I was living in Australia...another country of vast space and a small population...but Scotland was always home and the call to return was strong...despite the unpredictable weather...I do love our long summer evenings with the sun not setting until after 10pm...gives you lot's of time to enjoy the outdoors...
Enjoy your trip Johanna.
