Hi everyone, I have been recently searching for a toy red poodle. However, one thing I’ve noticed is that the faces/nose of toy poodles are often quite different (similar to the ones in the picture). Does someone mind explaining this to me?

The puppies in the picture are fairly identical. One has a shaved fave and the other has not been shaved yet! 😄

Yep, it is just a haircut difference.

Just FYI even if you prefer the fluffy look I would go for a breeder who shaves the snout. I have never found a responsible breeder who keeps their puppies faces fluffy. When I was searching it became obvious that the first sign that a breeder was only doing it for the money, no health testing or anything, was that the puppies werent groomed.

Its good to introduce the very young puppies to the grooming process anyway and the hair grows back quickly if you dont like it short.
