HI all, i can't find the old post about decent beginner grooming supplies.

I'm looking to purchase clippers, hair dryer, scissors etc. Whats is a decent shampoo/conditioner?

all suggestions welcome

Winston will be going for his first real groom soon. I want to try and maintain him between his professional groom visit. I would like to maintain his sanitary area, face, general bath and blow dry etc.

HV dryer.....K9II $350Shampoo 30 gal....average price Conditioner 35 gal
Heavy steel comb with wide AND narrow teeth $18
Long teeth pin brush 18
Green double Les Pooch Brush 60
Wahl Bravura cordless clipper for FFT 139
Pet Edge brand nail clippers 9

This stuff will last you a long long time.
In time you might want a bettr shower/bath hose situation and a table with a noose to prevent running away when wet.

If you SPEND a little now to get proper equipment that does the job 1st time around, you won't be paying so much at the groomer. I charge extra for filthy messy matted coats that take me forever. But when dogs come in for maintainence grooms, its far cheaper. However, I will tell you this. I don't care if you tell me you bathed your dog 2 hours ago...I will still rebathe and do a better blow-dry job to make the haircut look perfect. So I don't give discounts for home-bathers.
