A new hobby I picked up, I just learned how to on the
21st of Dec. from my aunt. I adore doing it now, I am
in the process of making my younger brother a blanket
using the school colors as he requested (orange and
black) and I have made several pot holders already!
Buying a book off of amazon to learn some more techniques
and patterns as well, I've only been doing simple granny
square projects so far.

When I get the blanket done I will post pictures as
well! :D

Attaching a picture of a vibrant potholder, LOL!

Good for you :) My grandmother taight me to do it when I was very young but she only got as far as teaching me how to do long strings, I was never able to put them together to actualy make anything. I would love to learn though. I tried cross stitching and could never finish a project, just no patience I guess.

I tried several times to learn to crochet before, and just couldn't
make sense of it. After my aunt showed me step-by-step how to
do it recently, I picked it up rather quickly! I am more of a visual
learner myself. Oh and cross stitching...I tried it...and failed terribly,
LMAO!

If you still want to learn how to crochet, I would suggest
this book "Single Crochet for Beginners," you can find it on
amazon.com and I juts bought it myself, it has really good reviews!

I think I'm going to try my hand at knitting also, I just purchased
some knitting needles the other day. :)

Knitting needles look evil.... I dont think Hubby would like it much if I had any of those lol. Maybe I will order the book and see.. Then again I have a ton of beading stuff maybe I should use up some of that on some jewlry making before I take up a new hobby. I spent a lot of money on the beads and other materials. I pretty much only work with simi precious gem stones and crystal, I don't do a lot of glass or plastic beads.
