Considering...

But just a little. Stella is still coming into her own and is spending a LOT of time with me on my chair or directly on my lap. I also don’t want to add a puppy while I still have my old man, Oscar. And Zekefur has had enough changes in a year with Stella coming to us, Dory leaving, and then Oscar being brought home. I hate to add a puppy to his mix.

Ok... so maybe the pic is good for at least someone’s puppy fix!

Cute. I have puppy fever too. So many of my friends have gotten puppies this year and watching them grow has been a joy. But like you I keep thinking of my reality and I don’t think it’s the right time just yet.

How is your senior Oscar doing now? Do Stella and Zekefur play with him?

Oscar is doing really well. He is a little hard of hearing but I don’t think it would really be noticeable to an outsider. Stella doesn’t seem to be interested in playing with the other dogs, but when Oscar has his spurts of energy Zekefur always tries to engage him in play, but Oscar just ignores him. I wish he’d play with Zeke.

He likes being near Zeke when we are moving about the house. He stands, sits or lays down next to him almost touching him, but not quite. He is really healthy and seemingly no medical problems like arthritis, and he eats every meal now.
So he is doing really well. I appreciate your asking!

It’s good to hear he’s doing well and healthy for his age. Not many people would adopt an older dog.and it was nice to read that you had.
