We just got home a little bit ago from my doctors appointment, boy was that fun. Maybe I am a bad person but I shamelessly people watch, it's almost a sport to me. Other than the food court at a mall the OB's office is one of the best spots to people watch. Today in spite of it being like 55 degrees outside there were an unsual amount of people wearing sandals and flip flops. Sure, I know we live near the beach, the hopsital is right on the water I get that open toed shoes are normal here. However, Jeff Foxworthy's redneck fashion tips ("say No to the flip flop" LoL) kept flashing through my mind and it was a real struggle to keep it to myself. I was soooooooo worried that the gods would be offened if I dared to point out to my husband even half of what I observed. He kept looking up at me from the baby magazine he was flipping through with a look that was clearly annoyed. I would sit quietly and then be overcome with giggles as my mind worked out various observations about the people around me, then I would make a weird noise sort of like a cough/gasp/sneeze/hiccup as I tried to stop myself my laughing. Having to pee REAAAALLLLYYYY badly didn't help matters. The reason I was people watching is to keep my mind off the full bladder and off the fact that we'd be seeing Cletus soon and there was probably something wrong with him you know murphy's law and all. I just KNEW that if I pointed out the fugly yellow toenails on the young boy sitting across form me with his grilfriend wearing flip flops or the lady sitting two feet away with the larger than average crooked/and deformed big toe in desinger sandles that we were going to get onto the table for our Ultrasound and have the nurse tell us everything was fine with Cletus... well so long as we didn't count the clubbed foot, lack of both ears, six fingers on each hand, and the big honker of a nose that would be four sized bigger than normal for his entire life. I halfway expected to see the mark of the beast staring back at me as it is what with how sick the little guy has been making me and how I shamefuly laughed myself to tears at pictures my sister showed me of how ugly and mutant like her step sister's new baby is.... (and in my defense we're talking cone head, ears that stick waaayyyy out, bugged out eye all set on a tiny little body... Im sure he'll be a brad pit when he grows up but right now... ROFL)

So anyway I survived the waiting room without laughing out loud OR peeing on myself, (always a good thing), and finialy it was my turn to go have a peek at our little growing spawn..errr baby. I was really dreading the ultrasound, the last one HURT and made me throw up. Apparently though now that cletus is bigger they don't have to press so hard on my tummy(or my bladder) to see him. I am happy to announce that we found the appropriate number of fingers, toes, legs, feet, hands, and ears and the nose is a normal size. Cletus weighs a shade over a pound and is 22 weeks old. He was VERY active for our little peep show. Almost to active as it took a long time for them to get all the measurements they needed lol. I was so worried our creature would be shy and we wouldn't get to find the gender... no such worries.... must come from dad. Cletus was eager to show off that "little bit" of annatomy which brings me to the best part of all though you've probably already guessed...

Cletus the Fetus is a
BOY!!!

He is no longer Cletus the Fetus :) he now has a real name :)

Woo hoo, I knew it was a boy! I love the name Nicholas Sean, but I'm going to miss calling him Cletus. Are you sure you don't want Cletus to be his middle name? LOL!

O.M.G...!!! This is the BEST post in a long while!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! ummm... I started reading and I got a sense you were having a BOY... and sure enough.. YOU ARE! hahahahah... you are hilarious. I love the name as well. So very cool :D:D:D:D

I also love to people watch. In Canada here.. the weather is up and down lately. For me.. it's just COLD. But people are in denial and they wear winter coats, hats, scarf, mitts, and... sandals. or shorts. DUH.. totally weird.. I don't get it. Can't wait to get back home to Texas. Yeehaw!

LoL, Noooooooooo! Remember in one of my earlier posts where I found out I missed the baby BOGO sale and I promised the baby gods that if they would just please grant me a boy I swore I wouldn't name him Cletus. LoL. I'm still calling him Cletus though. I don't mean to, I guess it's just that I've thought of him as Cletus the Fetus for so long (well after he graduatated from Bob the Blob), that it's just habit to refer to him as Cletus. Hubby, (who I might add is prancing around like he's some stallion for producing the first boy on my side of the family since my mother's brother 50 yrs ago), is quick to remind me that his name is Nicholas. Awww he even called him Nicolai, which is what I really wanted to call him in the first place, and probably I will call him that anyway just a mother son type nickname deal.

Alas he's being named after Hubby in a round about way. Nicholas is John's middle name and Sean is my way of sneaking "john" into the name in some form, in this case it's the irish form of john, according to all the baby books. Not only are my hubby and his father both John's but my Dad and my grandfather that just passed are Also John. Hubby was insistant that we would NOT have a JR. at all, nor would we even include John in the baby's name. Pfft... :) Well Sean is also a nod at the irish background we both have on at least one side of each family, both sides in my case. I'm really hoping his mother won't be offended that we aren't nodding to the Thai side of the family as well.. but hey I want my kid to be able to pronounce his name. For that matter I'd like to be able to pronounce it too.

Awww Dang, I just thought of something better!!! I should have gone and put all the girl references in the post Pink instead of doing the boys blue. Then when you got to the bottom you'd have been thinking girl and it would have be BOY! Mannnnnn, that would have been waaaay funnier... oh well, to late I'm not going to delete it and start over. Ahhhhh but maybe I will on my Blog, the whole family doesn't know just yet. Mwhahahaha

That would've been funny! I had no idea Sean was Irish for John, you learn something new everyday. I knew Ian was Scottish for John. I really like both names, they're classic but not too common. My mom wanted to name my brother John Taylor after her grandfather, but my grandparents said John was too plain. He ended up being Korey Taylor and my mom hates it, lol. We always called him Taylor, but he decided in the fifth grade that he wanted to go by Korey b/c "Taylor is a girl's name." And yes he's a Slipknot fan.

Awww! Congrats! I'm so excited for you (and I don't even know you! Yay for strangers!)!!!
LoL, Yeah since getting "the sickness" I've haven't been on much. Before (ahhh those were the days... I could eat!) I was on here every freakin day... several times a day I'm ashamed to admit. LoL.

So Spencer, I'm Leia and I know everything (ahahaha remember that Roxy?).
I've been a "dog person" since before I could talk in longer than 3 word sentances, I make a living working with dogs, I breed/show Tibetan Spaniels (tibbies), I've handled professionaly, My tibbie Wonder is the bestest dog in the WHOLE wide world and I dare you to disagree LoL, and I've been an offical poodle owner for 8 days shy of a whole year :) I have two spoos Jazz who we adopted a year ago and Saleen a 10 mo old puppy I purchased when I realized I would never be able to compete with jazz and so Jazz would have a playmate her size. The tibsters just weren't impressed with a big almost 50 pound dog trying to romp with them. Jazz found her true calling as a therapy dog and I do regualt visits usualy with the veterans at the nursing home with her (though dang, can you believe today my doc forbid anymore visits until after baby??). Obviously I found myself knocked up ummmmmm 3 days after fathers day(??). Of course this was AFTER I told my husband something along the lines of Ok I'm I don't want to try anymore screw having a baby I want a new PUPPY to show. Hummm... then the gods decided to have a bit of a laugh and to my shock that test that had ALWAYS been negative came out Positive. :scared: Damn, now I gots to take ANOTHER year off from shows! LOL, That led to about 6 more of those little tests and a visit to the doctor which brings us up to the present :)

That was the most wonderful, abridged, current biography I have ever read. Kudos to you. It's nice to "meet" you and learn more about you, your tibbies, your spoos, your hubby, and Nicholas! And I'm still so excited for you! (I loooooove babies, enough so that I'm a nanny!) I hope to see you around more, since this forum is my new addiction - this, and Grey's Anatomy!

Congratulations, again! :D

Congrats!!! So exciting! I'm so happy for you. I always love knowing because it helps when you aren't feeling well (for me anyway) to have a name and an "idea" of who is in there.
