Cardi2008, Really nice Christmas picture of you and your family, very handsome couple, no not actually, very handsome trio. Do you mind me asking what type of camera was used to take this picture? We need a new one, looked for some to buy before Christmas, so that we could take some decent pix., but got so confused looking at all the different options, we came home w/o any. The one we now use will not bring out any of the features in our black poodle, shows a lot of glare in animals eyes, not actually red, but just a shiny , usually yellow colored glow, and it does not do well , even with flash inside. TIA . and again, LOVE the pictures

Hi Fuzbutz, thank you so much for the nice comment. Camera shopping is a pain in the butt. We did a lot of research. We wanted a camera that took very high quality photos that had the options of a film camera. Our camera is a digital camera by Nikon CoolPix S550. It has 10 megapixels, which pretty much means that we can print out an 11x14 picture and it would be as clear as if a film camera took the picture. It also has 5x zoom. It is a really neat camera. The pictures above were taken on a tripod with the 10 second delay option. I think the camera cost us a couple hundred dollars.

Hi again Cardi2008, My Hubbie has been researching the internet on the info. that you sent to us about your camera. Sounds a lot like one of the ones we were looking at, I personally cannot remember the brand at the moment. He said the one we were interested in had a 10x zoom instead of a 5x, but that the one you have has other options that he likes that the one we looked at does not have. Still undecided. We are going to go out again and look at cameras w/i the next few days and definately will look at the one like you have. Thank you so much for the info.
