I have been noticing for quite a while now that T seems to always lead with his left paw. If he is playing with Locky he often jumps up and waves a paw at him or puts a paw on his back and it is almost always his left. And tonight I paid particular attention and when he jumps up on me his left paw always lands first.

Is my baby boy a south paw?

yes, they can have a dominate side! I think it has more to do with habit than anything else. I dont think it's the same thing as people being right or left handed though. I know in obedience training when you are teaching turns and such usually you will notice that your dog almost always does better going right than he does going left, or vice versa.

Now that you mention it Eli almost always shakes and high fives with his left too. He will do his right if I ask for that one but he does prefer his left.
