I still can't get Beau to quit nipping my Grandon, Caleb when he runs. He is just playing, but it hurts him some times. Most times it just gets his clothes. My daughter doesn't think it is funny. He doesnt' nip me much anymore. Now what do I do?
Keep him on a leash (Beau... not grandson) at all times when the two are together. When grandson runs, as children do, and Beau goes after him, as dogs will do, give Beau a strong collar correction followed by a stern LEAVE IT!!!
Then I would follow with a series of exercises he knows: sit, down, heel..... whatever..... and PRAISE PRAISE PRAISE.
Beau will learn that some behaviors are verboten and some behaviors get him brownie points.
