We left 1.5 year-old Austen on his own in the living room for a little too long this morning and came down to this:

Thankfully he didn't eat the cap! Google says the little bit of moisturizer he got at should be ok, but we're monitoring him closely. I'm re-evaluating what I can leave lying around, and he's back to hanging out in his playpen when we're not around.

I'm betting Austen will be ok. I've lost at least a tube of hand creme and two tubes of antibacterial ointment to Mia, not to mention all of the moisturizers, cremes, etc. that she's licked off of my skin. I learned years ago to keep things out of reach, but I still forget - or am surprised by her reach! - from time to time.

Oh that bow tie is a stunning color on Austen! Ha, poodles can be surprisingly determined and willful, where something as yummy as a hand creme is at stake.

I’m sure he didn’t eat it, he looks so innocent. Love the bow tie too.

Did he put that bow-tie on to get your sympathy? It would've worked on me! Awwwe! Good Austen!
