Well Asta has been worrying about my blanket chest. He was sniffing and pawing underneath it. Seems a mouse had taken up residence. Asta flushed the mouse out and caught it. Success finally catching something. I tried to get the mouse from him with a couple of drop its. He didn't drop. I called my DH to help me with Asta and his prize. The stern, low serious voice saying drop it and he finally did.
More adventures. I was playing with Asta and I decided to take him out to his field and let him really run around. Well there were a bunch of ducks settled there. Asta charged and chased and jumped. No dice, but it was really fun to watch him leap trying to get to the flying ducks.
Then we went back to the yard and played stick, essentially keep away with a rather big stick.
Now I have one exhausted pup.

Mouse catching is definitely a useful habit - well done Asta!
