Has anyone heard of Credelio flea/tick treatment? I've read about some dogs having negative side effects on any number of the flea/tick treatments, but I haven't heard much about this one. It's another kind of chewable tablet, relatively new. I'm not sure how it differs from Nexguard or Brevecto. I'm evaluating vets right now, and the vet I'm interested in starts the younger dogs on Credelio and then moves to Brevecto. The other vet i'm looking at starts with Nexguard and then switches to Simparica.
Also, one of the vets uses Interceptor for heartworm, which they told me they consider the safest, and the other recommends Triheart until the dog reaches a stable weight. I'm not sure there's a big difference there, but I haven't researched those meds yet.
My sense is that it's hard to know whether your dog will react to something until you try, but it would be good to know if there's any consensus about these things.
