Hi all,
We're hoping to try to enter some amateur dog shows to try our hand at showing and get our puppy socialising. We can't officially show as she we will be spayed when old enough due to our contract.
She is currently 13 weeks old, what age is best to start showing?
Also does anyone based in the UK know of any amateur shows in Oxfordshire or the best websites to find the information?
I've tried googling it but I'm not sure what I'm looking for really.
Thanks very much!

Hi,

I'm not in the UK but the Poodle Clubs and Breed Registries are usually a good place to start. I know you said you're looking for amateur level, but I think these still might be good places to start.

If you mean companion shows they are usually at summer fairs but they are cancelled this year.
If you want to try open shows here’s where to find them. https://www.fossedata.co.uk/ or
Many shows have been cancelled but some are some going on later in the year. They have to be 6 months of age but Its best to start at obedience for socialisation and then try some ringcraft classes.
I would call the kennel club in regards to showing a neutered dog, I think you can show but need permission from the kennel club, I would ring them to ask.
