Dog world and new to dog world BF. It seems no matter what I do for ppl its never good enough or Im used. Im over it fair dimkum. Some of who you think are nice on the threads, arent what they appear to be. I wont be going back over there.

Yep I am starting to learn that. I am behind the eight ball cause I don't know who they are in real life, and who talks to who and who's in bed with whom! Plus I don't care so I suppose it is easy to become a target over there. Not talking about this forum at all guys, it's another one where I met Siv initially actually :biggrin: don't think I'll be posting over there anymore. Get normal conversation in here with people perhaps more like myself.
Well what you just described is what I saw in the show world, but more than anything my dogs didn't seem thrilled at all with it. I even tried a professional handler...so now I just enjoy my poodles for the lovely breed they are.
I have heard it said many times... that it seems no matter what form of competition you try with any animal be it confirmation, grooming or even agility you always find those willing to cheat or bad mouth OR WORSE their way to the top!
Just remember jealousy is a very ugly creature that makes ppl act very stupid ways...but as long as you are making yourself and those that truly should matter to you happy then I wouldn't worry too much about what the others think or say.
Stupid ppl have a way of shutting themselves up by burning a bridge or sticking their own foot in their mouth...just try to ignore them until they do!
I really like this forum..I have not joined a forum before this one because I get so sick of seeing forums where ppl are just being like a bunch of 2 yr olds. "Your dog is ugly, no yours is...well yours is this, or that, and the other, and you don't take care of them right, blah blah blah."
I signed up here because I noticed pll seemed to honestly just "talking about poodles in general"...not downing each others poodles, or each other in general.
I have no idea what other forums others belong to, but this is my only one for a reason...I am glad I joined this one instead of any other!:high5:
I check in here often because I want to see new pics of others poodles, and I try to reply to all threads I have a general opinion on...but I do admit that posts with pictures make me want to compliment!
I think everyone knows how special their pictures are to themselves, but its always nice to have someone tell you how good your kids look!:whoo:

Excellent post IPP couldn't have summed it up better myself :smile: I am going to have my first attempt to clip T off today and I wouldn't post anything in the other forum cause it's bound to get negative comments with no constructive criticism. But in here I feel freer (is that a word lol) to post and get peoples honest opinions. Anyway will start another thread about todays escapades once I have some pics!

BF, You are a very good groomer and you have learnt on your own with poodles. They arent an easy breed to trim and you have done an exceptional job. In the end, honestly it doesnt matter what they think of your trimming, or how short or long the trim is, its your dog and what you like.
