A Bobby Poodle Nightmare

So imagine my sweet Bobby poodle getting in a terrible dog fight with a bunch of neighbor dogs and then having the police called and being told my dog was dangerous and vicious and not to be trusted. One cannot even imagine it but somehow, that is what my brain did while I was sleeping!!! I had this horrible nightmare that was so realistic yet like dreams are...weird. In my dream he got into a terrible fight outdoors with the neighborhood dogs but as dreams often go, it was a total alternate world....different dogs, different neighbors and Bobby always wanting to be outdoors by himself and to top it off, in the dream he started the fight and was vicious!!! Everyone was telling me he attacked all the other dogs!!! While I know animals can react instinctively in the right situation, the Bobby in my dreams was SO NOT the Bobby in the real world...Thank goodness! This situation could never happen because all Bobby wants to do is play not to mention he would never actually stay outside by himself! 🤣 I actually laughed when I woke up. I was relieved of course but since I knew it was a dream I couldn’t help but laugh because it was SO beyond opposite of who Bobby is. Anyone else have weird poodle dreams?

That’s certainly a nightmare. What do you think it means?
I'd had many dreams of my girls being in danger, just one so far of my boys in danger.

To your point, I went thru a series of zombie apocalypse dreams a few years back. In one, the zombie horde was approaching and leading the pack were my Noel and Holly! I wasn't scared for me but was horrified for them. I woke up between a sob and a scream :(.
Bless you, been there myself. When we lived in Arizona, I don't know how many times in my sleep I saved our tiny little Boo Boo (a Chihuahua) from rattle snakes. I almost clocked my husband one night jerking the little dog to safety in my sleep. I wonder now if it's not why she sleeps in my arms at night or on me. I have often wondered if she's trying to keep me calm in my sleep.

I've had loads of stress dreams about my animals. Waking up is always such a relief!
One night I had a dream that a fellow trainer grabbed a pair of scissors and cut a chunk out of my poodle's top knot. I couldn't help myself, I was kind of mad at her when I saw her later that day.

Too many anxiety dreams to count - usually involving city streets and missing dogs and forgetting when I last saw them and... I think you get the picture!
2020 nightmare? It's not safe outside even for Bobby?

I regularly have lovely dreams of Linus, our dog who passed on a few years ago, and feel so blessed afterward, like I've had a true visit with him. It's as if he's saying, "I'm ok! I'll see you again."

But I have had the odd one or two where he's aggressive with me, which reminds me of your dream spottytoes, in which the dream version is so unlike the reality (Linus did have fear aggression with strangers however, but not with his loved ones).

It reminds me that some dreams have meaning, and some just seem to be mental misfirings, if you will... not attached to reality at all and therefore nothing to worry about.

I have only had my poodle for three weeks, but my weirdest poodle dream was in August or September. I dreamt that I was hiking in the woods with my late Papillon, Gizmo. He veered off the trail and dug through some dried leaves to uncover a gray poodle puppy! I interpreted it as his approval of our choice of our next dog. Our new pup is blue - born black and clearing to blue/gray at age 2 to 3. So Gizmo may have gotten the color wrong, but I cherish this dream.

I was thinking about that. I think we are all having stress dreams so that could be part of it. I kind of think it’s because his Canine Good Citizen test is coming up this Saturday. That’s all I can come up with. He definitely wasn’t a good canine citizen in my dream! Maybe my mind is telling me if Bobby doesn’t pass the test, compared to what he was in my dream, he’s actually a remarkable canine good citizen no matter what the results are! 😆

Wow!!!! That’s a scary sad dream! I would definitely be crying after that one!
This was waaayyy before we got Fluffy, but I dreamt that Misty got lost and when we found her, there was a little poodle with her. We tried to find the owner, but no. I was so worried that we would take it to the pound and it would be all alone... 😅 The one and only time I've woken up with a scream is when I dreamt that Misty had run off, and nobody would listen to me about her being gone--my parents especially. They refused to help because they were doing other things. It's weird how dreams can warp reality.

...I dreamt about my dogs running away a lot I guess.
