WEEK 1:

Wanted to post some of my favorite moments of Norman throughout his life thus far.

Norman is the biggest goober dog ever!! I have had him since he was 6.5 weeks old and his personality is incredible.
He is the most lovable dog and will do anything to make you laugh. He loves hugs, kisses, dancing, fetch, and sitting on his mama’s lap!

Norman was bought as a labradoodle but his DNA results said otherwise.... little over 95% standard poodle!! Lol!!

Hope you all enjoy his photos!! He’s 7 months old now so I will try to catch up!!

Photos below are Norman at 7 weeks old!!

Fun Fact: Norman had no teeth until he was almost 3 months old!!! Photo of him biting the cage was his first "temper tantrum" when he was not ready for bedtime!!

Samie, nice photos! Norman is clearly your ride or die poodle.

One of mine is too, Bella, except in a car, lol. She hates cars. Sachii is the opposite, he'll ride like a champ, but head for hills or hide behind me in a heartbeat.

Norman's coat color is unique and interesting. I'm guessing it will look very different in a year or two. Do you know if his sire or dam had the same pattern, and/or did they lighten or darken with age?

Thank you!! Yes he is my ride or die. Luckily he doesn't mind the car. I wouldn't say he loves it, but doesn't mind sticking his head out the window :)

His coat IS very interesting. Both of his parents were Parti colored.. Dam was brown and white, and the sire was grey/black. Very interesting combo. Norman of his litter was the 2nd darkest, the other was almost completely black. The others were tan.

I'll post a pic of his parents here soon so you can see, VERY interesting colors on the sire. But I didn't choose him thinking of his future color to be honest...(though I love darker color more on poodles) I really just loved how mellow he was.... but he sure surprised me!! Now he's a wild man.

Now Norman's coat is almost completely cream/blonde. Only his face, ears, feet, and tail are grey/black! Many many people mistake him for an Afghan/Poodle mix!! I have no clue what color to say he his since it is changing so much! His top hair is three different colors... the tips are black, then blonde, and his roots are grey! His back has blonde and black hairs. He's just a big mix of colors! I will try and post photos of that to see what you think.

Weeks 25, 26, & 27. Were all caught up!!

Norman is 31-33 weeks old!

Best 7 month old pup ever ?

His coat color has really changed drastically since I first got him. From being almost all black to now being a blonde and grey pup!!
Not sure what color he will turn out to be. His roots on his head are changing colors again to a dark grey from being blonde. Very ombré looking.

Hope you enjoy these photos of my big goober!!

Weeks 28-30!
8 months old!!!
Norman tried his first “puppuccino” as a celebration for his 8 months old bday!!
He’s a huge bed-hog and has an unruly topknot. I like to say we’re rockin a Randy Rhoads haircut. Haha!!

Finally...I have a little time here to check some things out. I am so glad I went to your thread here. Norman is really quite handsome. I love his coloring. How unusual and beautiful. He looks like a major character. What a funny guy. I'm surprised the bulldog didn't squish him when he was a baby. Those bulldogs are big and heavy! And how interesting and strange that he didn't have teeth for so long. Glad they finally came in. I sure enjoyed seeing your very lovely Norman.

This is so kind of you!!! Thank you so much. Yes Norman is SUCH a character. As far as his coloring, it’s always changing! Not sure what to even call this coloring!
They tried to squish him while wrestling but he was too fast and grew up quick!!!
Thank you again for your sweet comments! Made my day

WowWow I haven't gone thru this thread in awhile. What a handsome boy he is and his coloring! I've never seen a poodle with the color, he is simply gorgeous and you keep him looking so good while allowing him to play too. What a wonderful owner you are!! Thank you for sharing his pictures!

Does anyone think that Norman is some variety of the color sable? I really enjoy watching poodles change colors. Also, I did know of one Bichon that never had puppy teeth. We called him the toothless wonder, and Gummy. His human thought it was funny to let him "gum'' on her hands and arms. It was not so funny when he finally got his adult teeth, and had no bite inhibition. Norman looks like a true sweetie... a canine kaleidoscope.
