Yesterday, Cleo turned 12 weeks! She had several playdates last week and started puppy kindergarten. She loves playing with other dogs! But she has certain preferences, all the same. It seems true, poodles play differently with each other somehow. These two came over, and Cleo had a blast.

Congratulations on such a beautiful pup! Sounds like all is going well. I love the name Cleo. I used to take care of a precious, elderly soft-coated wheaten by that name.

13 weeks!
You can probably tell which one was taken right after her bath. The ones where she's rolling on the ground, I call "Poodle Transitions 8 through 12." In the extreme close-up, she's probably eating rabbit poop.
(Still not sure why some of these images come out sideways)

14 Weeks! I braved my first grooming attempt, fft (posted a few photos in the Grooming subgroup). The photo in the middle is post-groom. The photo that's my avatar was taken the day before grooming, I'm including it here, too. And there's one with her favorite skunk (also before groom).

15 weeks and 20.5 lbs!

She still loves to roll around in the vinca... She's also enjoying chasing the flirt pole and chasing rabbits. She likes playing ball, which to her means I roll the ball to her, and she rolls it back to me with her nose or her paw. When she gets excited, she prances, and she hops off the ground with all four feet in the air. She's a lot of fun! (If only she'd sleep a little later in the morning...)

Just catching up with Cleo. Love that she jumps off the ground with all four feet in the air. Asta does that too. Means there is excitement. Cleo is just such the looker now with that great face and am glad that y'all are having fun - that's what it is all about.

16 weeks! and first body groom

I can't believe she's 4 months already! I attempted to trim down her body this weekend. Her hair was very long, and she was way too warm. There's one pic where the haircut is in process. Otherwise, I had trouble getting a close-up this week. (She's on a countertop in my laundry room. I need a real table.) She weighs about 23 lbs.

She's adorable and you're doing a great job grooming. I'm trying but pretty much only doing hack jobs on my pup's feet. We're off to the pro groom next week and hopefully I'll have more confidence to take it from there. I love the soft puppy hair but am also over having it so long! Keep up the good work!

Thank you! I found it very hard to care for when it was long, I agree! I think it's a great idea to get a professional groom and then try to follow the lines. Since she hasn't had all her vaccines yet, my only option was to do it myself. Watching the Sue Zecco videos was very helpful, as well as the sticky videos in the grooming subgroup.
