Default Luna the naughty naughty poodle :(

Luna was naughty, naughty, naughty, last night. :(

I put her into her crate before bed BUT my DD got her out and let her loose in the house. Luna then decides to chew a whole in the new sofa, chews a big hole in the curtain in my daughters room and to top it off chews a hole in my daughters bed during the night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I realize it is my daughters fault because she let her out. But I am soooooooo disappointed in my poodle! I have NEVER had one do this. I don't know what made her do this??? So weird.

This is sooo very disappointing, especially since you had crated her... I hope your daughter is old enough to realize she made a big mistake and not to do it again. Let's hope this won't cost you too much money to fix !

Wow so much damage from such a little tyke! I had a female Dane that chewed a 4ft wide hole in the kitchen wall when she was 3 months old! This was ages ago before we knew about crate training. We kept her in the kitchen when we were gone. I hope things go easier and she is kept in her crate until she grows out of the puppy crazies!

Years ago one of my beagles completely tore off the side of a brand new sofa trying to get a dog bisquit that was under neath it. I could write a book about the destruction those sweet, incrediblely bad beagles did. Lola eats pens and pencils. I love it when she gets the ink on my carpet and all over her white fur.

Oh no! I always figure that every new puppy gets a tab of $2,000 worth of damage to do, but lucky for me Timi did not spend a dime. I guess she gave Luna her tab to use, sorry :-(

Thanks guys. Needless to say she is safe and sound in the crate tonight. DD is 12 so she understands the poodle MUST stay crated. I will be glad when the puppy craziness passes. So much to be said for "old dogs" LOL

Bebe,
The new sofa chomp must have been tough to take. I'm wondering, if it is a cushion, whether the manufacturer could ship a new one to you.
A lot of people love poodles, maybe if you explain what happened, a sympathetic customer service rep might help?

Oh my !!

I have had a couple of edges of my end tables chewed, but nothing like your experience!

Last week it was raining here all day, and I thought it would be nice to take a nap. So I put Piper ( she is 19 weeks old) in her crate in our bedroom and climbed on the bed for a nap....Just before I fell asleep, I though I could here chewing...here I hadn't gotten her crate door locked, and she had gone and got her bully stick and was laying beside my bed chewing it....lucky me...I don't want to think of what she is capable of....:0

good idea maybe I can call the manufacturer of the sofa a get a new cushion cover? it is just the fabric part and it is zippered so I may could just slip a new one on? I hadn't thought about that yet Thanks for mentioning it
