Default Photos too big...how to fix?

Hi,

When I post a picture it comes out sooo huge that I can't see the whole picture without scrolling up or down, side to side. The whole thing won't fit on the page. This never happened before. I normally put my pics in Photo Bucket and I never had to resize them before. I have tried to resize them just lately because of this problem, but to no avail. I may not be doing it right...I use to go into paint and do it but it's not seemingly working the same way now. This was years ago...probably a different operating system then.

Anyhow, someone told me they look fine to them. (it was Country boy) And I appreciate that. But someone else saw what I was seeing...like I described above. Someone also said that they normally are automatically adjusted to fit right here within this forum. I can't post pictures for the contest as I did the last two months. They came out fine then. But not now. It makes no sense to not see the whole picture...the whole frame of the picture at once...within the field...not that you have to move it all around to see it. Plus it's hugely magnified. Ridiculous looking. Do you have any words of wisdom? If anything is too complicated technology wise, I'm at a loss. lol.

I am not really tech savvy, but I use resizeyourimage.com because all my photos from my camera are always too big..or maybe it's the resolution? Anyhow that website is super easy to use. If I can figure it out it, anyone can, ha-ha.

Thank you everybody. Jojo...that's what everyone is telling me...that my pictures look fine to them, that they fit the screen and they can see the whole photo without scrolling. It's so weird because they don't look like that to me and this is a new thing...never use to be that way. So, it might be something changed with Photobucket.

Thanks for the info Charmed. I'm going to check that place out next chance I get.

Much appreciated.

When Poodlebeguiled first mentioned this, I was viewing on my Windows 8.1 Pro laptop and, as with photos from a few other members, the photos are just as described - way oversized and impossible to see all without scrolling up/down/sideways.

I then viewed them on my Windows 10 tablet where they are all normal sized, visible within the display screen with no scrolling, and with the relatively new tag on photos "this image has been resized. click this bar to view the full image". That tag does not appear on the W8.1 device.

The problem doesn't seem to be one of simply resizing photos which Poodlebeguiled has successfully done in the past, it seems to be more of a software issue. Not necessarily W8.1 Pro vs W10 but possibly a change in PF photo displaying, since that tagline now at the top of the photos is fairly new?
