Hey guys
I'd appreciate some opinions on my boy's cut and our current groomer! I've always loved the Japanese teddy bear style and wanted this for Robin since he was tiny, but whenever my boy comes back from the groomers he always comes back with the moustache instead of the full round muzzle. I always take photos but he never looks like how I'd like. The groomer reassures me that this is due to his puppy fur, is this correct? This is his fourth groom and he is 7 months old at the moment.
This is the photo that I took to the groomers this time (top dog):
This is how Robin looks now:

I'm fine with the body, he has flared legs coming on slightly and his tail is nice and long still as I wanted. It's his face I am not quite so in love with! This is the shortest it has ever been but regardless of the length he always comes back with a moustache. He looks like a completely different dog from when he went in and I can't wait until his face grows out a bit. His ears are also not short enough and not blended in with the head fur. Could anybody shed any light about how the Japanese style muzzle is achieved and why it's not happening here? Thanks!
