Hi guys! so excited - got to meet a blue standard that lives on my road and walks by with her mommy - his name is Moe. So we asked her where she gets him groomed and since she is satisfied with this groomer we are going to try her. I asked if they shave his face clean and she said oh yes and told her about Ginger and Teddy's razor burn etc - she hasn;\'t had that problem so I am so glad to find someone new to try not too far away. I did Teddy last week and his face had hair already! did Ginger the other day and I noticed a big blister right by her eye so I don't think I better do it anymore. the blade must have been hot. Poor baby!
Awwww....I love the look of a clean face, but I don't trust myself, especially on a toy. I'm glad you found a new groomer. Hopefully, Ginger and Teddy will enjoy their day at the spa!
I'm so hapy you found someone who seems to be good at grooming. I hope your experience is successful and you have yourself a new groomer.
I have ice cubes on paper towel whenever I groom our dogs. I test the blade with the back of my hand often to test for heating up. As soon as it starts to get too warm, I turn it off and rub the bottom of the blade back and forth on the ice cube and then wipe it dry on the paper towel and continue to clip. So far, this has been very successful for me. I haven't burned any of our dogs since I started doing them.
wow that sounds like a good idea - they don't need a groom right now but Cassie does so we will probably take her. have to call and get prices.
