Default Poodles with hairy faces

are you supposed to cut the hair along the upper lip which curls down into the mouth? does anyone have any instructions on how to grow the face hair long? where/how to trim etc?

my poodle is in a bedlington right now and I still shave his little stash. It's the same thing they do on bichons, the hair right under his nose gets clipped off with a 15 or 30 blade. At work I'll usually at least clip that little lipline if not the whole area under the nose. Those hairs drive me nuts.

I like smooth shaved faces on my two, so I always shave that hair on their lips. There's an excellent sticky by Fluffyspoos from this forum, at this link:

Shaving the face, feet, and tail/sanitary and nail grinding
