Interesting Olde groom drawings...
I love old books & the enclosed drawings are from a Poodle book year 1969. I thought everyone might like them & due for a good laugh. I shared these with my groomer friends & we started just laughing & couldn't believe that people wanted their poodles to look like this. Anyway, these were considered the "good" poodle looks.

I have a client that requests an old groom. She's starting to look like an old circus dog. I'm in a groomers group and one (that's hilarious omg) said this in regards to the hula skirts people requests on cockers "It's like getting a mullet. It was attractive in the 80's, but it's just not in style anymore."
Compare someone's groom to a mullet and they normally go for something more trendy.

I love it! I want to try all of those. .png) I have a really old grooming book, too, so I'll have to scan some of the crazy pages from it for us.
Right now Sugar is in a Pajama Dutch, from the Kalstone book. I know you guys will be all, "Pics or it didn't happen," so here's a very poor shot I managed to get.
I love Poodle hair!

So funny! I visited a salon today just to say hi to the owner and they had 2 minis on grooming tables.... The owner immediately says to me " don't look at the lines on this dog" "she used to be groomed by the woman who owned this place and retired and she only did old style poodle cuts" lol I didn't know what old style poodle cuts were lol
I just looked at you pic and it was the sailor boy except with a clean face... Idk... I thought it was cute :-)

They monkey clip is great LOL. Can't imagine actually seeing a dog in that clip. And the hair on the faces! Ah! I'm personally so glad that went out of style. Will be interesting to see what poodle clips are in style in another 40 years!
