Default HV recommendation for us non-pros?

Can anyone recommend a nice (translate: reasonably priced but effective) HV for us non-pro, home groomers?

I purchased a Chris Christensen Kool Dry Dryer and it is awesome!!! It's almost too powerful for my toy but perfect for blowing coat on my Aussies.

Do a search for dryers in the grooming area and you'll find tons of really good info. Good luck!

I have a CC pup or mini forget what it is called but it is the smallest one & it will without fail blow out your t. poo. I have used it on my Spoo & had him fluffed out just fine. I would actually try & find one either on groomer boards, craigslist, ebay etc... because many of us groomers upgrade our equipment so always have stuff for sale.

I love my CC raptor!!. I used a metro air commander III for years on my toy poodle, but its sooo loud compared to my CC. A metro will work fine for a toy tho.

I was so glad to see this comment on the Kool Pup. I have been eyeing it for a few months now and was wondering how it would work on my little Standard. Many of its features would make it perfect for my needs. Wry grin I really like the small size and low weight and I bet my rabbits would appreciate the lower noise levels.. Now to find a used one I can afford...

Now the CC PuP for a Spoo can be a bit much BUT I have used it on all my grooming clients dogs without issue. I now love variable speed & cannot live without it. I would never go back to 2 speed again. My CC Pup right now has been shelved since I won in a grooming competition an EZ Groom Variable speed dryer which blasts coats dry & I have saved a good 10 minutes in drying time. But the little variable speed Pup is awesome.
