Show people: Need face advice!
I've got my first stpoo puppy and although I won't be showing her, I want to try and do things right. I was trained to shave an inverted V between the eyes, and the grooming books I have say to do the same... but the pictures I'm seeing it doesn't look like the dogs have an inverted V between the eyes, it looks straight across from the eye corners. What is correct? Is the V there, but covered up from the topknot? Pictures would be great!!
Also, does anyone have a favorite type of band they like to use? Her topknot isn't long enough yet to put bands in, but I'd like to get some for when the time comes. |

It's really preference, I prefer the straight line myself, just make sure not to shave above the corners of the eyes.

Inverted V here. You can notice it much more in the show topknot than you can with his pet topknot he has now.
ETA: Forgot to attach the photo to show you how it looks with the pet topknot!

Thanks for the replies! I think I accidentally shaved up a little too high a couple weeks ago..... so it's gonna have to grow back out... dang it!!!!!!!!

You might also think you are seeing it straight across but the natural cow-licks between the eyes, make it easier to do the inverted V. Plus bubbles that are done right can hide a lot of oops!
