I got the brilliant idea that I would set her up for a modern... Well at least set her up tp grow into one.
I think we are getting close to that stage of puppyhood where long hair becomes more of a pain than it is worth and it seems I am always finding little matts. So I was prepared to put her into another 'big girl" haircut.
I was completely prepared for her to not have that puppy fluff look anymore. I was ok with it. What I was not prepared for was the color change that occured when I clipped her hair to an inch... OMG, I think I forgot she was going to be silver. Haha we got all sentamental and lamented the loss of the dark black hairs and the fluff. Oh well... she's starting to look sooo grown up! Next week it's Jazzes turn!! Mwhahaha.
oh and per usual - it isn't finished. The curse of being a groomer I suppose. I can never seem to complete a haircut on one of my own dogs in one day. Tomarrow I have my big boy standard so I'll give him a break mid groom and finish up the angles on her rear end.
The pictures really don't show the change in her color as well as I had hoped, but you probably get the general idea.
