Anyone try a #7 on the face?

I don't like the look of a #10 on Atticus' face. It's a little to short...but I like the look after it has grown out a week or two. So I was thinking about trying a blade a little longer. Has anyone tried a #7 on their poodles face?

Also I'm in process of buying new blades. Right now I have a 3, 5, and 10 but am thinking about getting a 7.

What are your must have blades?

I would NOT recommend a #7 on a toy face...it's pretty dangerous. I've done it on a few standards who get irritated with a 10, but their faces are big enough that as long as I'm really careful it's fine. The teeth on a 7 are really pretty far apart and on a toy I would be worried about cutting lips and eye rims. If it were me, I would just stick with clipping him with a 10 and letting it grow out. The results will be smoother anyways, a 7 leaves the face looking pretty uneven even if you go against the grain and run over an area several times. Have you tried a 10 with the grain instead of against? That will leave it a bit fluffier and won't take as long to grow out. :)

Thanks for the warning! I wont risk it then. I didn't even really think about that while looking at them online. I'm glad I posted here first! I may get the 7 for his body though! He loves being short in the summer and it'd be nice not having to shave him down as often.
