Default puppy ears

I mentioned to someone that I don't really care for the long hair on poodle ears and she suggested asking for "puppy ears." A few questions:

Would a poodle groomer know what this means?

Would it result in a look similar to the spoos on the Louter Creek web site? (I'd attach a picture, but I don't want to violate any copyright laws)

Would a poodle groomer be insulted by this request?

Thanks!

No such thing as 'puppy ears.' Asking for something as vague like a 'puppy clip' or anything like that isn't going to get you what you are looking for. To get ears like that dog, ask for a longer shave on the ears, like a #5 or #3 shave and scissored a quarter inch from the leather.

Just bring the picture to your groomer.

Thanks to you both! I won't insult the groomer (who's also a spoo breeder) by asking for Katie to look less poodley?

No, it shouldn't offend a groomer. Poodles were originally hunting dogs anyway. Sporty looking poodles are fantastic.
