Just wondering how people got their dogs used to having their chest and paws groomed? I don't know if its because he's young but he wants to eat all my brushes when im trying to groom him :/

I'v started a routine of brushing his back and giving praise then letting him chew on a dog treat moving it from side to side or up so I can get to the area's he doesnt like.
Is this the right way to go about it or is there a better method?
I'd like him to enjoy grooming.
I try to keep sessions about 3-5 minutes long since he's so little. Would it be better just to wait till he's older??

Thanks!

Are you grooming him on a table? I find that I have way more control and that the puppies are much better behaved. Other than that, don't molly-coddle him. Chances are he learned that when he bit the brush, you would stop. Smart dog. He has you well trained.

Praise and treat for good behavior, but don't be afraid to firmly correct poor behavior. If one of my Poodle puppies bit the brush while I was grooming, I would grab it by the muzzle, squeeze hard and tell him to knock it off.
