Default Give your dogs an extra hug tonight...

I got a scare yesterday when my schnauzer girl, Kiba got into some mouse poison I had forgotten my mother put down. She was literally a foot away from me when she took a slurp. Within 20 minutes she was at the vet and being treated. On Vitamin K for 5 weeks, but the vet doesn't feel she'll have any adverse effects from it.

Accidents can, and do happen. So give those special puppers an extra hug tonight. Now I can "brag" I have a dog that attempted suicide (if I keep it funny, I won't cry and hug Kiba until she gasps for air again) lol

WOW! What a scare So glad you were there and able to act quickly. I hope that Kiba recovers quickly and has no adverse effects. Good Luck and poodle hugs.

If I were the one that placed it, I would've used the "hidden" traps where they have to go in and get the poison. My mother was the one that placed it, trying to get a chipmunk that keeps coming into our entryway. I am one that would rather have critters loose in the house vs putting poison down.

But thanks anyways.

Glad to hear all is well !!!

There are also battery operated enclosed ones that "zap"'em very effectively I feel sorry for all critters, but sometimes they have to be controlled since rats and mice can spread a ton of diseases
