Default Cake for my sister
Well, as some of you know from my previous threads, I like to make cakes! My sister proposed to her girlfriend yesterday, and her girlfriend/fiancée's birthday is tomorrow, so I made an engagement/birthday cake for the brunch tomorrow.

Here are some pics:







It was my first time makig flowers and a bow, so they are a little sketchy, but I think it turned out pretty well. I hope they like it!!

Thanks so much everyone! It's carrot cake, the birthday girl's favourite. I do plan on making money off baking in the future, but I'm finishing my undergrad this year, then going to pastry arts school and then hopefully I'll be able to open my own shop! Just waiting for them to arrive!

I LOVE cooking and gardenning but cooking and baking is a passion for me equally almost to raising puppies.

I love great cakes/torts/pastries. My mom is French from France (Aixe En Provence) and I dont have to tell you guys what wonderful pastries the French make..

What Pastry school are you planning to attend. It will be wonderful for you to share your experiences in future with this forum..

I have wonderful cake/torts pastry recipes I will be more than happy to share with you, all french/european and would really like if you can share some of yours with me.

Good luck to you in future, you certainly will make a fantastic pastry chef just seeing the creation you have made here.
