Going to NYC!!!
What should I doooo?
I've never been there, but it is only a short trip (two days/one night), so I won't be able to go do a lot of things.
If any, what are the places you think I ABSOLUTELY must see?
Me = VERY EXCITED!

Awesome! I live in New York City (the borough of Brooklyn), but when most people visit they check out Manhattan, so since you're going to be there for a few days, try and explore Manhattan, although Brooklyn has some awesome places to visit, like the Botanical Garden, Coney Island, etc. There are also some really great beaches in Brooklyn.
If you're going to Manhattan, try and check out: Central Park, Times Square, Columbus Circle, Herald Square (with the HUGE Macy's there), Battery Park, SoHo, Chelsea, Financial District (I think the Century 21 Department store is there) And if you wish, stop by Ground Zero.
Brooklyn: Coney Island, Prospect Park, Botanical Garden, Brooklyn Museum, Grand Army Plaza, Kings Plaza (It's the local mall in Brooklyn), Marine Park, Brighton Beach, Manhattan Beach, Sheepshead Bay.
Queens: Atlas Mall, USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center (the US Tennis Open is held there).
Bronx: the Bronx Zoo.
Each borough (the last one being Staten Island) has its own taste and culture.
Just a list of suggestions. Are you bringing any of your dogs along with you?

If you'll only be there a couple of days, you may want to check out doing a Gray line double decker bus tour. We did that a few times with family when they visited us for a weekend. If you do that, you can hop on and off unlimited, and it will usually include a ticket for the Empire State Building or Top of the Rock and Statue of Liberty.

Honestly, we lived there three years and STILL didn't see everything we wanted to. Some of my favorites in NYC: Central Park, MoMA, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Guggenheim, American Museum of Natural History, Grand Central Station. Times Square is worth the look, Broadway, honestly, the list goes on

We're going to be there for a VERY short time (we won a trip and get to tour Good Morning America) so we're just trying to see some big stuff with as little car travel as possible (mini-vacation a la foot!)
As for the dogs... may or may not bring Tate... depends on what hotel they're putting us up in, haha everyone else will be boarded or watched. If Tate can't come I have to find someone to watch him! He's never been boarded or spent the night with someone else! (Why hello, mutual separation anxiety, nice to see you here. ) I swear, it is just as bad with me missing TQ as well, but I know she can at least take care of herself and survive if she eats 6 inches of rawhide while she is being "watched"!

I would recommend that too. It's the easiest way to cram in as much stuff as possible in a short time. Would love to meet you, but unfortunately, I will be out of town for at least the next two weeks.

Well, we finally got the DATES of our trip, but haven't yet been told when we're flying in and out!
We're going to be there this weekend (Sun/Mon) for MAYBE 12 hours. But that's alright I've settled myself in to not being able to sight see - guess that calls for another trip in the future!
Turns out we're not getting to go to GMA... but the Today Show. Al, Matt, Meredith, and Ann won't know what hit 'em!

I did the Gray Line Double Decker, very good! Some places you just need to see but not necessarily walk and touch, so the bus will get you around. However, I'd go back just to take in the Natural Museum all over again. It was fabulous.

My brother told me I HAD to go to the museum. We're museum people, though. Nice n' nerdy!
We're staying right in Times Square, so I will be able to view that in all its glory. Which I'm totally fine with
